By: Kevin Michaels
July 13, 2015

It's Monday morning, we are still in Canada, but today's trip will be to Darien Lake in New York! We left ourselves a lot of time in the morning to ensure we would get to the park in time. We didn't know how crowded it would be crossing the border back into America, so we made sure we got on the road at 6am. We got into New York with plenty of time to stop at a Denny's for breakfast before heading to Darien Lake.

Darien Lake opens up at 10:30am

The park opens up at 10:30am, but we were able to get into the parking lot at 9:30 and they opened up the main entrance to the park at 10am. There wasn't much that we could do as we got into the park, but we purchased two souvenir bottles. These bottles are good for 99 cent refills for the entire 2015 operating season. They come in two different colors, orange and purple, so we got one of each.

Darien Lake: What's New in 2015?!
Written by: Kevin Michaels

Darien Lake may be adding a Larson Super Loop "coaster." The park has not officially announced the addition of this ride, so it is being considered a rumor at this point. This will be the same ride that 4 of the Six Flags parks will be adding for the 2015 operating season, but it will have a different theme to it compared to Six Flags.

The park needs approval from the town before they can confirm and build this "coaster" at the park. If this does happen in 2015, it will replace the UFO ride and it will be a 73 foot Larson Super Loop ride.
