Walt Disney World... The happiest and cleanest place on earth! As many of you know, we got married on September 21, 2013 and for our Honeymoon, we decided to make it at Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida. Neither of us have been on a REAL vacation together where we stayed at a hotel at a resort for an extended period of time. We've done mini vacations over the summer by taking long weekend trips to Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Cedar Point and whatnot. We also took a week long trip to our best friends house John and Angelica West out in Indiana.

As far as a "real" vacation, this was our first. Growing up, neither of us have been to Disney World so that made this decision even easier for both of us. The plans were set into motion... the very next morning after our Wedding, September 22nd at 7:30 in the morning, we were boarded onto an airplane to our Honeymoon Destination! In addition to neither of us being at Disney World or Universal Studios, we've both never been on an airplane. Normally, people get really nervous when they've never done something like this before but I would say with all the crazy roller coasters and rides that we've done over the summer, this was quite a breeze. After the flight, I called this a "low thrill" ride and didn't compare at all to Kingda Ka!

When we arrived at Disney, we felt like we were in a different world. Everyone always told us that Disney World is a world in it's own and boy were they right. On our first day at the resort, we were EXTREMELY tired and wiped out from the Wedding the night before. We didn't get home from the Wedding until midnight and of course, we were all wound up from the wedding so we really didn't get that much sleep. I calculated that we got about 3 hours of sleep before we had to get up to drive to the airport. So our first few hours at the resort, we took a much needed nap.

After our nap, we didn't have any plans to walk around any of the parks, so we decided to head on to Downtown Disney and see what that was all about. Despite the fact that it was raining, it was a beautiful place to see. The place was so clean and the people were so nice and friendly to welcome us into their world. We made this our first visit of all of our days at Disney World and it was also our last visit. Our Honeymoon at Disney was from September 22nd to October 3rd. We spent six days at Disney World Parks and four days at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

I have to say that we had an AMAZING time and it was a really good choice to spend my Honeymoon with Anne Marie at. The parks, the people, everything about it is so clean and amazing. We chose not to go into the water parks, but we did get into Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Being that we had six days in the park or if a park closed early, we made sure to double up on a couple of the parks. Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom were the parks that we doubled up on. We probably could have spent another entire day at Epcot as well, but there's always next time!
