Don't Judge a Book By It's Cover...
Really, don't. I knew that Knoebels wasn't a theme park chain and it was going to be much different than what we see and what we deal with at Six Flags and Cedar Fair Parks, but when we made our initial walk through the park, I couldn't help but think to myself: "What are we doing here?"
To me, this place really looked like the Flea Market of Amusement Parks. I don't want to pick on Knoebels because I have heard so many good things about the park, but that was my first impression of the place. We walked around before the park opened and once I used a bathroom, I just couldn't believe the bathrooms. Not that they were in bad condition, but they were just old and you could tell.
Knoebels: Black Diamond
Manufactured by: Philadelphia Toboggan Company
The Black Diamond is a steel indoor roller coaster at Knoebels that opened up at the park in 2011. This ride originally operated as the Golden Nugget at Morey's Piers in Wildwood, New Jersey!
The Golden Nugget was an enclosed family style roller coaster that opened up at Morey's Piers in July of 1960. It was located on Hunt's Pier and it was manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters.
Knoebels: 1001 Nachts
Type: Magic Carpet
1001 Nachts is a magic carpet ride at Knoebels Amusement Park! This ride is also known as "The Aladdin Carpet Ride" at some other theme parks around the world.
Once you climb aboard 1001 Nachts, half of the ride will be seated in one direction facing the middle and the other half will be seated in the other direction, also facing the middle. Riders will face each other during this magic carpet ride at Knoebels.
