Today is our 60th visit to Six Flags Great Adventure! It seems like a perfect day to be here, however I fully expect this place to be a zoo today.

Safari Off Road Adventure

Our first ride of the day is the Safari Off Road Adventure. We met up with Sheri, Mike and their friend and ours now, Jill. It has been a while since we have done the Safari, we will be missing some of the Safari due to a marathon going on in the Safari.

Kickin' Chicken for Lunch

We headed to Kickin' Chicken for lunch and we were told that we get two lunches each, one on the 2015 dining and the other on 2016 dining. Awesome. #TeamFatAss for the win. We got a snack right after lunch.

Green Lantern, 1 hour wait

We headed over to Green Lantern and asked how long the wait was. They said an hour wait, so we figured why not wait? It isn't going to get any better anywhere else. It was almost a 45 minute wait for the front row.

An army awaits...

We met up with more friends, Neil, Anthony, Danny, Carlos, Dale, Eric, Thomas and headed over to Bizarro.

El Toro, 90 minute wait

Next, a bunch of us grabbed a ride on El Toro. The queue lines were filled up and it was a 90 minute wait.

Zumanjaro, Walk of Doom

We then headed in the direction of Zumanjaro where the wait times app said it was a 15 minute wait. We asked at the ride entrance how long the wait time was and the girl told us that it was an hour wait. An hour wait? The wait times app said that it is 15 minutes. We got in line and it was only a 20 minute wait.

Kickin' Chicken for dinner

We went over to Kickin' Chicken for dinner and got two meals each and another snack. We ate the chicken wings but didn't eat the fries.

Batman, down...

After dinner, we wandered over to the other side of the park and had intentions to do Batman, but as soon as we got over there, we heard them telling the guests over the microphone that the ride was down for technical difficulties.

Nitro, 35 minute wait

After that, we went over to Nitro which had a 35 minute wait. We rode in the second row and it wasn't a bad ride. In fact, it was pretty damn good. Nitro makes for an awesome night ride. If you've never done Nitro at night, you owe it to yourself to do it at least once! Speaking of a good time to ride Nitro, it is also another ride that is great during a sunset.

Batman Backwards...

We headed to Batman Backwards and got a ride on it using an exit pass. The ride time was one hour, but we were able to avoid that. After we came off, we bumped into Vinny V, who was using an exit pass with two people, so we joined him as not to waste the two seats.

Zumanjaro, 10 minute wait

Next in line was Zumanjaro, which was Jill, Mike and Sheri's first time on the ride. They really seemed to enjoy it, but Jill was pretty scared on this one and it made for a very entertaining ride!

Kingda Ka broken down

We had planned to get on Kingda Ka next, but it was down so we skipped over it and headed to El Toro.

El Toro, 15 minute wait

El Toro had about a 15 minute wait and we hopped on in the back row. El Toro is a great ride during the day but much better at night!

After our ride on Toro, we noticed that Kingda Ka was open and we were tempted to head over there for a ride on it but it was pretty late, our legs were tired and Sheri and Mike had to get to their hotel as they have a long drive home to Pittsburgh, PA tomorrow morning!

At that point, we called it a night and headed out. On our way out of the park, we bumped into Brandon and Walter from All American Thrills and talked with them for a few minutes before leaving the park. I let Brandon know that we will be at his home park of Hershey Park on October 24th!

I just want to close this Trip Report out by saying that it was very nice to finally meet and spend the day with Sheri, Mike and Jill. Me and Sheri have been communicating online for the past year and she even posts photos from her theme park trips to the Theme Park Maniacs Facebook page as she as at a theme park just as much as we are, if not more. I cannot wait to see these people again as they are very fun to hang out with, have a ton of energy and are always on the go just like we are!

That's all for tonight, thank you for reading and have a great night. We will be back at Great Adventure for half the day tomorrow. This coming Friday night, we are headed down to Virginia as we join ACE for the Annual Fall Thrillfest at Kings Dominion!
