Wildwood, I love you. This place holds a very special place in my heart. The first thing I think of when I think of Wildwood is my father. (Miss you & Love you, Dad) As a child, we would make at least one family trip to Wildwood over the summer and it was the most exciting time of the year for me. When we went back to school and they asked us to talk about what we did over the summer, all I could talk about was Wildwood. I love this place and I miss all the family trips there.

Growing up, Wildwood, New Jersey was my favorite place to be. My family would go down to Wildwood, New Jersey to go on the boardwalk and on the rides at least once a year. As a kid, there was no place better to be. Me? I wasn't there for the big rides because I was too scared. I had a blast on all of the smaller rides at Wildwood.

I can remember back to when we were going to be going to Wildwood for the day. The night before was always almost impossible to fall asleep. My brother and I would sleep in the same room and all we would talk about would be what rides we are going to go on. No, we wouldn't be talking about the big roller coasters, but rides like the Tilt a Whirl or the Mini Tea Cups.

That's right, the Theme Park Maniac that you know now wasn't one for going on big rides but it was always a thrill and enjoyment to be at Wildwood and around all of the rides. One of my best memories at Wildwood is on the Super Karts at the left end of Wildwood. Me, my father and brothers would get on these karts and although I wasn't always brave enough to drive a car on my own, it was always a blast.

In July of 2013 we took a trip down to Wildwood for the first time in 7 years and when we walked up to the Super Karts I had the biggest smile on my face. Although I didn't go down there with my family, I went with my friends and all I could remember was the good time I had down there with my family. It was always a fun time to see my father get on the rides with us because he looked like a big kid much like I am now.

Back in 2006 when I first started going out with Anne Marie, I spoke highly of Wildwood, NJ and wanted to take a trip down there and that we did. It was a good time because all I talked about was the memories and all the years that we spent going down to Wildwood. As a grown adult, I actually grew a little more nerve in 2006 and went on higher rides that I wouldn't have gone on as a child. Does anyone remember the Condor? I do. I never went on it until 2006. My older brother and sister always got on that ride but I was always too scared. Now? The Condor is gone from Wildwood, NJ but I got on a ride at Hershey Park that was the same as the Condor called the Falcon.

Labor Day weekend of 2013, we took another trip to Wildwood and spent the entire day down there. It was an amazing time. Anne Marie, Danny and myself went and we got there at 11:30 in the morning and didn't leave the boardwalk until 1 in the morning. Yeah, 1 in the morning and it was pretty amazing to see all of the rides and the place hopping the way it was at midnight. As I sat atop the drop tower and looked across to the next pier, all I saw was Go Karts zooming by... at MIDNIGHT! I loved every minute of it and said to Anne Marie that I could do this all night.

Take the time to click through the pages and look at the rides that we went on or rides that I took pictures of because I remember going on them as a child, or even newer rides that I would have liked to go on as a kid but they weren't there during my time in going to Wildwood. Also, we took a ton of pictures so you can click through the photo gallery and see the amazing sights of Wildwood. Although Wildwood isn't really a theme park, it definitely has a place on this page because it always has and always will hold a special place in my heart.
